Upon completion of her debut album From Far Away, Katie began working toward the vision of a new record. Through 4 years of numerous efforts in starting and restarting the recording process, Katie teamed up with longtime friend Jim Bredouw and together the two spent nearly 8 months forming the vision and completing the project Love Like Fire.
The album features an eclectic variation of sound and texture, fusing together Jims compositions performed by the Seattle Orchestra, backup singers from the African Congo and the haunting melodies of an Uilleann pipe.
With over 30 musicians, Love Like Fire touches the brim of classic and timeless music in todays world of synthesized instruments and plastic pop.

With enormous amounts of support from engineer/producer Adam Starr and textured layers of instrumentation from Mandolin, Banjo, Cello, Violin, Tabla & Sitar players, each song carries the listener to a different world inside and out.
Perhaps the most unique quality to the album are the compelling vocal layers from Indian singer Doebrat Mishra on the song Set Free, helping to blend the songs into a fusion of color, texture and taste from around the world.
